What is the best way to travel to the event?

Battersea Park Fireworks promotes travelling sustainability. We really encourage guests to reduce their carbon-footprint by travelling by public transport, bicycle or foot where possible. The park is also best accessed this way.

There will be no parking available in the park, except some very limited disabled parking.

If travelling by train, Battersea Park is well serviced by South Western Railway, with the event accessible from Battersea Park, Queenstown Road, Victoria and Clapham Junction Rail Stations.

    Plan your journey here.

The following tube stations are nearby:

    Battersea Power Station
    Victoria

Sloane Square will be closed for planned engineering works throughout the weekend, so plan accordingly.

You can also travel on bus routes: 137, 44 & 452

Is Alexandra Gate entrance strictly for disabled access?

No, it is also for general access. However, it is the closest access for the limited disabled parking bays and is one of the quietest entrances which makes access easier.

    TOP TIP

We recommend you make your way into the event via Albert Gate if you are travelling from Clapham Junction, as we expect it to be much quieter than Sun Gate on both evenings.

Can I cycle to the event?

There will be bike racks available by Albert Gate for personal-use bikes only. Please be advised, bikes are left at the owners own risk.

  • Do you have access facilities at Battersea Park Fireworks?

Ticket holders who are registered disabled are entitled to a complimentary 'Essential Companion' ticket once they have purchased a ‘Standard’ ticket. These are not available online and can be obtained by applying  HERE.

You will need to provide your booking reference and proof of eligibility, which could be provided with for example your DLA/PIP documentation, your Attendance Allowance documentation, The Access Card, or blue badge guide.

Our fully accessible viewing platform will be positioned to the back of the Fireworks viewing space with hard-standing access from Albert Gate, Alexandra Gate, Rosary Gate and Sun Gate. Space on the viewing platform must be reserved in advance of the event, once full we will not be able to accommodate anyone further. Priority will be given to those with wheelchairs, or those less able to stand.

Please note that this is not a seated event nor platform. There will be limited seats available on the platform on a first come, first served basis to support those less able to stand. These seats cannot be reserved.

There are two accessible toilets available close to the Accessible Viewing Platform. The remainder of the accessible toilets will be available in the main toilet blocks.

Limited blue badge parking bays are available on a first come, first served basis just outside Alexandra Gate along Prince of Wales Drive. From this point of the park, you will be able to travel on hard standing to the platform.

Can I bring my friends / family onto the viewing platform?

Any customer who qualifies for access to the viewing platform will be able to bring at least one person with them to watch the show with – please note this will need to be booked in advance HERE.

If we are not at full capacity at the viewing platform at the time of the show, we will allow further guests on a first come first serve basis – however, we reserve the right to prioritise other customers with accessibility needs.

There will be a separate area right by the viewing platform that additional family and friends can watch the show from.

How do I book accessibility parking?

Blue badge parking is not available to book in advance; however, a limited number of parking bays are reserved for blue badge parking along Prince of Wales Drive, near Alexandra Gate. This road will be closed at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday, so you will need to show your blue badge to traffic stewards to be permitted access to the parking.

Find out more on our dedicated accessibility page.
